Reframing Our Impact on Humanity

“Through compelling personal stories and profound, timeless principles,

Kyle encourages us to live up to our humanity by knowing ourselves,

enhancing our relationship with others, demonstrating layers of empathy,

and creating positive communities. By seeing and acting with

humanity through these four lenses, we can be safe, become, belong,

and believe. These human yearnings apply to family, work, neighborhood,

education, and church settings. The right book for our time.

A Message from the Author

Thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in living a more humanity-driven life.

Lenses of Humanity was born from my desire to be a bridge builder and a conduit of human understanding.

I believe that with a bit more intentionality on humanizing the experiences of others, we can and will develop greater lenses of understanding, compassion, and empathy.

I invite you to engage with me, not just through the reading of or listening to the book, but rather in an ongoing dialogue about how we can all get better at lifting humanity.

  • Do you feel the heaviness of our societal and political divides?
  • Are you finding it difficult to positively engage with people who view the world differently than you do?
  • Have you seen evidence of the erosion of humanity?

The important work of human and cultural understanding has been nested in thorny political agendas that often don’t invite healthy exchange. Rather than feed into the political divide, Dr. Kyle Reyes presents an approach to understanding differences that prioritizes humanity.

The framework and structure of this book are born from the belief in lens development—the deliberate effort to see things anew—because when we see things anew, a change in our behavior follows. Humanity requires work unique to the individual and the collective, and Dr. Reyes introduces a new framework that invites us to improve how we show up in the world and engage with others.

Personal growth and transformation come from honest reflection and self- analysis. In Lenses of Humanity, Dr. Reyes illustrates how we can improve and develop more human understanding, embrace more humane practices, and find deeper connections across differences so we can be more deliberate in living our lives with greater humanity.
